The Price of Fuel Pushes Up Inflation
January 20th, 2011With petrol and diesel prices hitting an all time high, the pressure is undoubtedly being put on the UK as an entirety and with over millions of motorists the strain is certainly being felt.
The cost of fuel has also had an impact on other transportation too, as figures show that transportation prices have reached their largest increase in history.
Statistics demonstrate how the rising cost of fuel has contributed to pushing inflation to higher levels; with the cost of living reaching an eight month high during December 2010.
This has resulted in more concerns as talks of the Bank of England having to raise interest rates to gain control of the economy heighten; this could leave the population in dire-straits and create even tougher times for millions of families.
The chief concern for many families is not only the cost of fuel and increased interest rates -but for many the fear that a chain reaction will occur whereby everything from food to clothing will increase in price is a constant worry.
