Manage your fleet better with fuel cards

Oct 31st, 2008

If you have a fleet of cars, then you would know what it means when fuel prices rise continuously. The hike in fuel prices affects fleets the most with their constant changes. Ups and downs in fuel prices can ruin companies’ well planned budgets and force them to spiral out of control.

However, with the help of fuel cards you can now manage your budget and your fleet with complete ease and be sure of their optimum utilisation.

Not just budget control, some fuel cards also offer account management, fuel and gas maintenance, operative behaviour and roadside assistance.

For vehicles, fuel cards ensure that you save on unauthorised expenses with the help of purchase limits that you can set by day, time, transactions, gallons per day etc.

This in turn positively affects the employees for control on fuel and maintenance, which means that they drive safer and more responsibly.

In case of a breakdown or any other problem, these cards can get you timely assistance and help. For those with a fleet of vehicles, the fuel cards offer the following specific benefits:

  • Since fuel cards offer customised and competitive prices, costs on fuel are obvious, but additional savings can be realised when working with a fleet.
  • With the help of all-in-one billing, you can not only save on fuel but also on time.
  • The benefits work two ways, fleets save on fuel costs and managers get 24 hrs, 365 days a year administrative support.

Speeding Drivers To Be Banned For Second Offence

Oct 1st, 2008

Tough new penalties to be introduced next month mean drivers will now be banned after just two convictions if they exceed the speed limit by 15mph in urban areas or 25mph on motorways following a shake-up of road safety laws.Drivers will get six points for travelling at 45mph in a 30mph area, 55mph in a 40mph zone or 95mph on motorways throughout Britain.

The regulations will be enforced by digital cameras tracking average speeds over long distances rather than Gatso cameras, which record speeds at a single point.
